Wednesday is looking hot with temperatures actually above normal for this time of year. Under mostly sunny skies we'll hit 93 in the Upstate and 86 in the mountains. Skies should remain storm-free for the most part.
Thursday will still be hot, and we'll have a threat of late day, pop-up storms. There will be a 30 percent chance of rain in the mountains and 20 percent chance in the Upstate.
Thursday night a northeast breeze will help to push lots of moisture and slightly cooler air into the Carolinas. That, combined with a disturbance moving in from the northwest, will increase rain chances to 60 percent on Friday.
Showers and scattered thunderstorms will remain in the forecast through the weekend.
