ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Deputies in Orangeburg County announced Wednesday the arrest of a 24-year-old Neeses woman they say left her daughter at an alleged meth house and, according to a warrant, sent a message on Facebook to a woman she does not know offering to give her the little girl.

Amanda Leigh Vosburg was arrested by the Barnwell Police Department at a residence on Aug. 12, authorities said.

The discovery of the child was made Aug. 6 when officers were investigating drug complaints at a home on Binnicker Bridge Road, Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said.

Two women were taken into custody after investigators found methamphetamines in the house.

Christy M. Kinsey, 41, was charged with possession of methamphetamine after deputies located methamphetamine in a makeup case in her possession, Ravenell said.

Fran Nicole Roberts, 29, who was also present at the home was arrested on an outstanding family court bench warrant.

Deputies say 24-year-old Amanda Leigh Vosburg on Aug. 2 left her 2-year-old daughter in the custody of another resident at the home. Investigators say Vosburg said that she would return in four to five hours to pick up the child, but she never returned.

The caregiver asked the child's relatives and another friend to take care of the little girl, but no one would take the toddler, the sheriff said.

The caregiver then took the child to the Bamberg County Department of Social Services. The social worker and the Bamberg County Sheriff's Office notified the sheriff's department.

Deputies say Vosburg also facebooked a woman she does not know and said that 'she could have her child.'

The toddler has been placed in emergency protective custody.

"This is a heartbreaking story and a far too common scene about a child that was shuffled around, abandoned, and neglected because her mother simply doesn't care. Narcotics not only affect the user but also all family members," said Ravenell. "This child deserves better and this office will prosecute all those involved in her mistreatment."

Vosburg has been charged with child neglect and food stamp fraud.

Vosburg will appear before an Orangeburg Magistrate on Aug. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
