SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Carolina Panthers Pro Bowler and 2013 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Luke Kuechly is teaming up with CPI Security for a new ad campaign.

The largest privately held security company in the Southeast announced the endorsement campaign on Friday.

In the new ad campaign entitled "What if" that will run during the 2014 football season, several pairs of friends imagine what it would be like to have Kuechly in everyday scenarios, including defending their homes against intruders.

"It was a natural fit for us to work with Luke for numerous reasons," says President and CEO, Ken Gill. "We have been a long term partner of the Carolina Panthers and this relationship just takes that to another level. In addition to Luke being dedicated to his profession and to the success of the organization, there is also symmetry between Luke providing the best defense on the field and CPI protecting our customers' homes and businesses."

The commercial first aired during the Panthers preseason game on Friday night and will continue to air throughout the season.
