Youths pledge 100 days of nonviolence

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Dozens of local kids and young adults pledged to avoid violence and bullying as they prepare to head back to school.

The youths promised 100 days of non-violence at the Live In Peace Movement, Saturday at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Greenville.

Organizers said the teens vowed to avoid bullying, cyber-bulling, and other forms of violence.

The event also features motivational speakers, information on community resources and programs, and ended with a balloon release that both victims of violence and those who pledged to avoid violence.
