UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union County deputies said they arrested a man who called to report a possible burglary after they found components of a meth lab inside his home Saturday.

According to incident reports, Nicholas Rash called deputies to his home on Monarch Street after he heard people inside his home while he was underneath the house.

Deputies arrived to find two people in the house, and also noticed several items of contraband and illegal narcotics inside the house.

The two suspects, Samantha McDonald and Ernest Kirby, were both detained while deputies searched the house after getting permission from Rash.

Deputies said they found drugs, the components of a meth lab drug paraphernalia and a tattoo machine in the home.

Rash, McDonald, and Kirby were each taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana, manufacturing meth, and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, deputies said.
