LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A California man was arrested after investigators said he traveled across the country to engage in sex acts with a minor in Lexington County.

According to the state attorney general's office, 28-year-old Charles Henry Ross has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of criminal solicitation of a minor.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department says Ross and the teen began talking online several months ago before he made it to South Carolina.

Ross was caught, according to investigators, in the teen's bedroom by the boy's mother on Friday. Officials say he quickly fled the scene, but was later caught by deputies.

Bond was set for Ross at $275,000. Additional charges could be coming.
