INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Inman police said three people have been charged in a string of car break-ins.

On Aug. 6, deputies were called to Nature Walk Way and Split Oak Lane after six victims reported thefts and break-ins.

According to a sheriff's office report, the thieves used their shirts to open car doors, stealing items from inside the center console, glove boxes and inside the vehicles.

Joey Shook said he caught three men on one of his home's security cameras stealing a portable DVD player from his wife's unlocked car, and trying to break into his locked car.

"Around 5:54 a.m. I caught three ... males walking up and rummaging through my wife's car," said Shook.

Shook said the cameras are on constantly. Watch surveillance video of the theft here.

On Monday, police said Steven Lozitsky, 18, Christian Knox, 17, and Sebastian Sarver, 22, were charged with 10 counts of carbreaking and seven charges of petit larceny in the incidents.
