SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said they have charged a man accused of stealing jewelry, coins and guns from a Seneca area home.

On July 31, deputies were called to a home on Gabriel Drive about the theft.

A witness told deputies that 21-year-old Christopher Burrell had come into the house and took the items, according to public information officer Jimmy Watt.

Watt said the witness had seen Burrell in the house on that day. Investigators said Burrell also had access to the home previously.

Deputies valued the items taken around $2,800. They said all items have been recovered except for a firearm.

Watt said Burrell was booked into the detention center on Monday on grand larceny charges and released later that day on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
