LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police said a driver who gave a ride to a man and a woman earlier this month was assaulted and robbed of his vehicle.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the suspected couple asked for a ride from the area of Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 5.

The driver agreed to give them the ride to an area near Harmon Avenue and Spencer Street. Detectives said the location was where the male suspect struck the driver in the head and took the driver's vehicle and cellular phone.

The vehicle was later recovered in Arizona.

Police said the male in the suspected pair is white, about 35 years old, 5'8" and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt and shorts.

The woman being sought is white, about 25 years old and was last seen wearing a long, black and white-striped dress. Police said the woman may also be pregnant.

Police urged anyone with information on the suspects to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 to remain anonymous.
