GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

High Street Hospitality Group is adding a fourth restaurant to its portfolio in downtown Greenville.

Jason Fletcher, president of High Street Hospitality, said he's opening The Playwright at the base of the Rivers Edge residential building currently under construction along River Street next to Center Stage.

The eight-story building will house The Playwright and then 145 units above.

Fletcher said the Irish pub will have an Irish playwright theme and coined it as Greenville's first authentic downtown Irish pub built from the ground up.

"We'll have a 3,000-square-foot patio in the front. The feel inside is what's going to be really special. we have a firm from Dublin designing the pub. They'll build the furniture in Ireland, then it will be shipped straight to the site," explained Fletcher.

Fletcher said he hopes to have the The Playwright open by winter.

Fletcher's High Street Hospitality also includes: The Green Room, Ford's Oyster House and Cajun Kitchen, Sip Rooftop Lounge and The Loft at Falls Park.
