Iva man dies in 2-car crash on Augusta Road

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Iva man was killed in a two-car crash on Augusta Road in Greenville County on Thursday.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened near the intersection of Garrison Road just before 1:30 p.m.

Troopers said the driver of a 1998 Honda was extricated from a vehicle and later succumbed to his injuries at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

According to the coroner, the car was struck from behind.

The coroner's office identified the victim as 41-year-old David Flowers.

The other driver was transported to the hospital with injuries, according to troopers.

Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are investigating.
