TEP deal goes through, customers get paid

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Even though your property tax is going up, your electric bill might be going down.

Tucson Electric Power announced a deal that could save customers some cash.

TEP's parent company Fortis Incorporated acquired UNS Energy and TEP says the deal includes credits to bills, about $30 million over five years.

Depending on how much electricity used, TEP says to expect at least a buck a month back, and business owners could save hundreds.

The credit should appear on October bills.
