New Houston County Sheriff appoints 4 new deputies

HOUSTON CO., AL (WSFA) -

It was a big day for Houston County Sheriff Don Valenza, as he officially started his first day in office.

During a press conference on Monday, he swore in four deputies that will start in their new positions within the office.

The promotions included Jeff Carlise, who is now chief deputy, Bill Rafferty who is now captain over the Criminal Investigation Division, Donovan Arias who is now lieutenant of investigations and Rick Clemmons who is now sergeant of investigations.
