WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Oconee County deputies said a suspect is in custody after stop sticks were used to end a chase on Tuesday.

Public information officer Jimmy Watt said a vehicle reported stolen on Sunday was spotted by the investigator assigned to the case on Burnt Tanyard Road near Old Station Road.

Watt said the stolen 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix didn't stop after the investigator turned on his blue lights on Country Junction Store.

The car then led officers with the sheriff's office and Highway Patrol on a 21-minute chase through the Tamassee, Picket Post and Salem areas of the county, according to Watt.

Watt said stop sticks were deployed near the intersection of North Highway 11 at Cheohee Valley Road and the car finally came to a stop.

The driver of the car was arrested and later identified by the sheriff's office as Ricky Lee Rogers, of Salem.

Watt said no injuries were reported in the chase.
