Spartanburg Co. special needs school bus involved in head-on collision

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg County special needs school bus with students on board was involved in a head-on collision on Wednesday afternoon.

District spokesperson Rhonda Henderson said the collision happened at River Oak Road and Quail Creek Road.

Seven students, the driver and an aide were on the bus at the time, according to Henderson.

She said EMS checked out everyone, but no one was transported to the hospital.

Parents were notified and another bus transported the students home.

State police are investigating.

Henderson said the driver was not ticketed.
