STARR, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Starr man pleaded guilty to the possession of child pornography on Wednesday.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said a district judge accepted the plea deal of 21-year-old Harry James Webb and will sentence him after she has reviewed the presentence report which will be prepared by the probation office.

According to the solicitor's office, the case against Webb originated from the arrest of an Australian citizen who had been trading child pornography with individuals all over the world.

One of the accounts traced back to the U.S. showed that Webb was involved in distributing the material.

On May 18, 2013, federal agents executed a search warrant at Webb's residence and seized his computer.

The solicitor's office said agents discovered multiple videos and images of children under the age of 18 engaging in sexual acts on the computer.

The maximum penalty Webb can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for 20 years, according to Nettles.
