Cold front brings relief from heat

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will taper off as the evening progresses making way to mostly clear skies and allowing lows to drop into the lower 70s across the Upstate and mid 60s in western North Carolinas. Look to see patchy fog develop across the mountain towns by early morning.

Cooler air behind the cold front that crossed the Carolinas on Saturday will provide some relief from the heat and keep Sundays high temperatures in the 80s. look to see the upstate peak in the mid 80s while western North Carolina lingers in the lower 80s.

We will also see more in the way of cloud cover throughout the day on Sunday with scattered showers once again being a possibility during the afternoon hours.

Skies will open up on Monday as temperatures will settle in the 80s and upper 70s. We will likely see pleasant conditions last all the way through the entire work week.
