The fourth annual All Macon County Day Festival is taking place Friday. This event, in honor of Macon County, is free to the public. Community leaders urge residents to come out and celebrate.

This festival will start at 10 a.m. in the downtown square of Tuskegee. A VIP breakfast sponsored by the Macon County Bar Association will start the day off. From there, youth will meet and interact with government officials to become oriented to the functions of departments and employees. Youth will also be able to participate in a ceremony which will unveil the Judge Aubrey Ford Jr. Justice Center.

After the unveiling of the new center, youth and officials will have lunch on the square. At 5:00 p.m. on the square an evening of festivities including music food and fun will begin.

On Saturday a grand parade is being held with food, great gospel music and family activities as well.

Officials encouraged participants to bring a lawn chair. For more information contact Chairman Maxwell's Office at 724-2555.
