RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Durham man faces multiple charges for breaking into parts of the N.C. State campus, burglaries that sparked a campus-wide crime alert Saturday.

The N.C. State Police Department has charged Curtis Louis Sangster, 44, of Durham with one count of felony breaking or entering, two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of attempted first-degree burglary, and four counts of felony larceny, all related to the weekend incidents.

The warrants were served by Durham Police just before 1 p.m. Friday. Sangster is being held on a $1 million dollar secured bond.

Crime Alerts were sent on Saturday when a male later identified as Sangster entered an unlocked, occupied room at the N.C. State Avent Ferry Complex and another unlocked, occupied residence at Syme Hall.

Wallets were taken in both cases, but no one was injured.
