SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg School District Seven teacher and coach is accused of embezzling more than $5,000 from the district, according to an incident report provided by police.

The report said Thomas Lee Myers, 41, of Greer, accepted cash from people so they could use Duncan Park Stadium for baseball tournaments.

Myers is accused of not notifying or paying the district for the use of the facility, the report stated.

Spartanburg District Seven spokesperson Sally Hammond said Myers is on administrative leave with pay.

Hammond said Myers is the head baseball coach and social studies teacher at Spartanburg High School.

Police said Myers is not in custody at this time.
