It's primary election day - have you voted yet?

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Today is primary election day and the are open around Southern Arizona.

Beginning at 6 a.m. voters started coming in and casting their votes, polls are open until 7 p.m.  Residents will be able to vote at the polls or drop off their mail in ballots, to determine candidates for state and congressional offices. After this vote each party will  have a candidate heading into the November general election.  

There are a few things voters need to remember.  For those who have a mail in ballot, but missed mailing it, the ballot can still be dropped off at any polling place, but it has to be in by 7 p.m. 

For those voting at a polling place, they will need to bring a photo ID that has their name and address on it, this should be an Arizona driver's license or they need to have two forms of ID with their name and address on it, like a utility bill.  Voters may also have one form of an acceptable photo ID with a form of non photo ID, like a passport and a utility bill.
