Police locate missing deaf, mute Anderson man

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said they located a man who was only able to communicate by sign language and writing who went missing on Friday in Anderson.

Police said Willie Lee Shell, 58, left Upstate Residential Care on South McDuffie Street to buy cigarettes at the Little General store on South Murray Avenue, but he did not return home Friday.

Shell has seizures and high blood pressure, which requires medication, police said.

Just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday Anderson Police sent an e-mail stating that Shell had been located in Greenville. Officers said the man was safe and in good health.
