Temperatures will rise back to more typical readings for this time of year on Wednesday. After a pleasantly cool morning, highs will reach the upper 80s for the Upstate and low 80s in the mountains Wednesday afternoon.
The t-storm threat will remain low through Wednesday, then Thursday will bring a rain chance back for the mountains. Highs will stay very warm, and a few spotty storms will be possible after 2 p.m. in western North Carolina.
The holiday weekend is looking hot, humid and storms at times. The best chance of rain will come Sunday afternoon, with rain chances at about 50 percent.
