GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An eighth-grade student at Shannon Forest Christian School made school history at a football scrimmage on Saturday.

Caroline Stewart became the first female to score a point for the Crusaders when she kicked her first extra-point attempt through the uprights.

Stewart is part of the school's junior varsity football team that is getting ready for the 2014 season - only the third season in the school's history.

She is expected to make school history again when the Crusaders play St. Joseph's Knights at home on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m.
