SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said a man previously accused of assaulting women at several area stores is now facing a burglary charge.

Romel Alfaro, 20, was arrested on three counts of assault and battery after deputies said he assaulted three women while they were shopping at Ingles, Target and Walmart on Aug. 17.

Deputies said the burglary occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 18 at a home less than two miles away from the Target store.

The residents came home to discover someone had broken in through a master bedroom window, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said a pouch of sex toys had been taken out of a drawer and arranged in a semi circle on the bed.

According to the sheriff's office, fingerprints found on the master bedroom window matched those of Alfaro.

Alfaro has been charged with first-degree burglary in the incident.
