We've seen more than 2 inches of rain in many spots across the Upstate and mountains through Wednesday, and more rain is forecasted for Thursday as our weather pattern remains unsettled.
Thursday will bring more hot temperatures and high humidity. That will lead to strong storms by late afternoon, with the main threats being lightning and heavy downpours. Any storm that forms could produce torrential rain and frequent lightning.
Friday should be slightly drier, but a few storms will still be possible. A cold front moves in this weekend, and it will bring the best chance of rain on Sunday.
