EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) - A friend of Clemson sophomore Tucker Hipps is working to raise money for Hipps' family by selling T-shirts that honor the late student.

The orange T-shirts, produced by Eyedea Brands out of Greer, were the brainchild of Adam Lindeen, one of Hipps' childhood friends.

The shirts feature a cross on the back made up of words Lindeen says Tucker stood for in life. It also features the Twitter hashtag #Orange4Tuck, which was prevalent on social media in the days following the student's death.

"I thought, you know, a few people would buy a few shirts who are from around here, but I've had people buying shirts all the way from Kentucky to far west as Texas to Florida, College of Charleston, people that go to South Carolina, Clemson, and Furman," said Lindeen.

Lindeen has set up a GoFundMe page to sell the T-shirts, which cost $10 each. Lindeen said proceeds will go to the family, who plans to donate some of the funds to Palmetto Boys' State, where Hipps served as a counselor, and Hipps' church youth group at Rock Springs Baptist Church.

As of Tuesday morning, Lindeen said he had sold $4,000 worth of shirts.

Hipps' body was discovered in Lake Hartwell on Sept. 22 after Oconee County deputies say he fell from the bridge. There is still no word on the manner of his death, but they said the cause was from a head injury sustained during an unsupported fall.
