Dorman High School's J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, who was named the South Carolina Gatorade player of the year, a Parade magazine All American, and Dorman's all-time leading receiver, became the first Dorman football player to ever sign with Stanford University on Wednesday.
A total of six student athletes committed to colleges as part of National Signing Day.
Arcega-Whiteside's football teammates Wyatt Rogers, Logan Robinson, Austin Eubanks, and Aaron Spann also committed to colleges during the signing event.
Rogers signed with Union College in Kentucky.
Eubanks and Robinson both signed with Charleston Southern University
Spann signed with the Citadel.
Soccer player Cassandra Pankey signed with Wofford.
