PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) - Pickens County deputies are turning to social media in hopes of generating new leads in a 15-year-old missing persons' case.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office shared a side-by-side photo of Jason Knapp when he disappeared 15 years ago and an age progressed photo, provided by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, showing what he may look like today in a recent Facebook post.

Deputies said Jason Knapp was a mechanical engineering student at Clemson University.

Knapp was last seen on April 11, 1998 when he left his home to go out to eat around 10 p.m.

Deputies said Knapp was never seen again but his truck was later found at Table Rock State Park.

Anyone who may have information about Knapp's disappearance is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff's Office at (864) 898-5500 or Pickens County Crime Stoppers at (864) 898-KOPS.
