Sunday will see a mild start with a mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon highs will climb into the low 90s across the Upstate and mid-80s in western North Carolina.
Winds across the Carolinas will mainly come out of the north and stay locked in the single digits throughout the day.
Look to see a slight chance of showers and storms arrive during the peak heating hours of the day. First popping up in the mountains before potentially leaking into parts of the Upstate.
Any lingering showers will taper off Sunday evening as temperatures once again dip into the low 70s and mid to upper 60s. Temperatures will settle in the 90s and mid to upper 80s with rain chances increase to start the work week.
