Hot and muggy conditions stick around throughout the afternoon as temperatures sit in the mid-90s and mid to upper 80s. Storms have developed and continue to impact portions of the upstate and western North Carolina.
Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued as storms have the potential of producing quarter size hail and wind gusts of 60 miles per hour or more. Storms will likely be widely scattered and last into the early evening hours.
As temperatures begin to decrease the threat of storms will dissipate as well. Look to see overnight lows fall into the low 70s and upper 60s overnight. Sunday will once again be hot & muggy with afternoon storms possible.
