Deputies: 1 hurt in Monday morning shooting

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies are investigating a shooting on Jacobs Road that injured one person Monday morning.

Deputy Drew Pinciaro said deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Jacobs Road just before 11 a.m.

Deputies at the scene said a person was shot while walking down the street and ran to a nearby home for help.

The bullet struck the victim in the hand.

The shooter may have fled in a small, dark vehicle.

Deputies said the shooting may be drug related and that the victim was not being cooperative. The shooting remains under investigation.
