MARION, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman told Marion police that she accidentally left her wallet on top of a newspaper box and her credit card was stolen and used at two locations.

Police say the wallet was left at CJ's Convenience Store on North Main Street on July 3.

A female caught on surveillance footage, purchased almost $600 worth of items at a Walmart store with the stolen card before buying more than $100 of merchandise at Big Lots, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information of the female suspect's identity to call Sgt. Rick Gutierrez of the Marion Police Department at 828-652-5205 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 828-652-7463. With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward.
