GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A New Jersey woman missing for two decades may have been spotted in the Upstate, and police said they need the public's help to find her.

Renee LaManna, 57, is from Ocean City, NJ. She went missing Jan. 8, 1994. Her family said she suffers from memory loss and mental illness, and has no idea what her name is, nor who her family is.

Greenville police said LaManna may have been spotted at a Taylors Walmart a few weeks ago. Her family said she was reportedly talking to herself and sometimes carries a Bible in her hand.

A western North Carolina couple said they saw her last February in the Asheville area and they did not know who she was, but when they saw LaManna's missing person picture on the internet later, they knew it was the same woman.

They said they have joined the mission to find the missing woman.

"We drive in circles, I go into stores and hand out flyers," said Linda Craig of Asheville. "I know that Renee is out there, because I saw her. I know she is alive, I know she is out there."

LaManna's family said there have been reported sightings of her in several states over the last 21 years, but no one is ever able to positively identify her until she is gone.

Late Thursday, LaManna's sister said a report that day showed she may have been wandering in the Pelham Road area.

If you have information on Renee LaManna's whereabouts, call Greenville Police or call 888-RENEE11.
