GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Sunday will start off cool with mostly sunny skies. Winds will be light and variable throughout much of the morning.

Look to see clouds increase throughout the day as temperatures climb into the upper 80s in northeast Georgia and the Upstate. Western North Carolina will be partly cloudy with highs peaking near 80 degrees.

Winds will mainly be out of the north and west between three and eight miles per hour as a cold front approaches the Carolinas.

The cold front will bring rain chances to the mountain towns throughout the afternoon while the Upstate holds of on scattered showers until the evening.

Sunday night dips into the low to mid-60s with increasing clouds. Monday will start the work week off with mostly cloudy skies, a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms and cooler temperatures in the low to upper 70s.
