ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies have charged a man in a rash of recent holdups at Waffle House.

Antoine Algernon Lewis, 30, of Anderson, has been charged with three robberies at Waffle House restaurants in Anderson County.

Lewis robbed the Waffle House on Justice Lane on Sept. 7 and Sept. 21 and is accused of robbing the Waffle House on Highway 81 North on Sept. 15, according to arrest warrants.

Deputies said Lewis either presented a handgun or indicated to victims that he had a gun and has been charged with three counts of armed robbery.

Lewis was served with the warrants at the Anderson County Detention Center, where he is already being held for the armed robbery of the Denny’s Restaurant on Clemson Boulevard on Sept. 20.

Lewis remains jailed at the detention center with his bond at $165,000.

“If Lewis is convicted on all four current charges, he is looking at a minimum of forty years behind bars. That’s a lot of time to think about his theft of only a few hundred dollars," Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper Jr. said in the statement.
