Clemson Athletics and IPTAY officials said Friday that all grass parking areas will be open on Saturday for the homecoming game against Boston College but parking capacity may be limited.

Officials said paved lots will open normally at 8 a.m. bur grass lots will not  open until 11 a.m.

Several grass lots were drenched and damaged due to the heavy rainfall during the two previous home games.

“We’ll keep working on these lots throughout the day and into tomorrow morning,” Clemson Groundskeeper Mike Echols said. “By holding cars off until 11, hopefully we can dry out the morning dew and limit damage to help prevent cars being stuck later in the evening. I don’t want to sugarcoat it. It won’t be perfect, and I wouldn’t call some of the areas ‘grass,’ but we’ve done everything possible this week to get it ready.”

Ground crews, outside help and even a helicopter have worked to dry the grass lots.
