Jeezy hit the hip hop scene in the early two thousands,  and during his visit to Greenville on Wednesday it was clear his music is still resonating with fans.

"It has an authentic feel to it, and he's real, what he talks about applys to somebody anywhere what he speaks about what he raps about we can all relate to it," said Christen Askew.

Askew and her friend Alisha Cartledge arrived at Green's Beer and Wine at 2:30 on Wednesday.

"It's a once and a lifetime opportunity, just to meet him be in his presence and gosh, just to meet him," said Alisha Cartledge.

As many people like Askew and Cartledge waited for hours to meet the South Carolina native, music was playing,  and the fans cheered for Jeezy's entrance.

Jeezy said he's excited to introduce his upcoming album 'Church in These Streets'., "It's my fifth installment, it's one of my you know... some of my best work it's exciting."

Jeezy talked about visiting Greenville, his favorite shows, like Empire, and why he wanted to meet his fans in this setting.  "This is just something I wanted to do to get back out here and talk to people, you know I've been here a couple times, this is different it's not a club and it's not a performance," said Jeezy.

The fans, who met the artist, got his autograph and pictures taken said they were not disappointed.
