GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County Animal Care said 32 dogs and cats were adopted during the 2015 Paw Bowl celebration ahead of the big game between Clemson and the University of South Carolina.

The adoption event, held on Wednesday, also served as a fundraiser for Greenville County Animal Care.

Several dogs were chosen to represent either Clemson or Carolina. Pups were decked out in orange or garnet while they played games throughout the day in a specially-designed “Spaydium.”  Cats provided the halftime entertainment!

Fans could make a donation in the name of the team of their choice and anyone who adopted a cat or dog contributed to the final score of the team of their choice. For each dog or cat adopted, the scoreboard will move one yard down the field, with the hope of reaching 100 yards by the end of the day.

32 dogs and cats were adopted during the Paw Bowl.

Clemson scores 19 and South Carolina scored 13. The doggy referee was among the adoptees.

Adoption fees for adult dogs and cats were just $10 during the special event.

FOX Carolina is proud to have been a media sponsor of the event set for Nov. 24.
