GREELEYVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

This Christmas the tree in front of Tina Delk's home may not have its leaves but it's covered in ribbons, each carefully placed with a prayer.

"Prayers for people that are sick, praying for decisions that need to be made," said Tina Delk.

It all started when Delk's son-in-law lost his job. She said she started praying for him, but that wasn't enough.

"It was like God spoke to me and said, are you just praying or are your prayers sincere?" said Delk.

She said she lifted her prayers up with ribbons and started with an orange ribbon for her son- in-law Dale.

"And Dale got a job," said Delk.

Delk said some days she comes outside and finds ribbons on her tree, placed there by people she doesn't know.

In a book, she writes down who each ribbon is for, then highlights their name when their prayer is answered.

She said although sometimes they aren't answered right away, she hopes the power of prayer inspires others to keep their faith.

"Maybe this prayer tree was what God was waiting on for me to make a decision to do," she said.
