PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Authorities investigated a vehicle in the water near the Anderson-Greenville county line on Sunday.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene at the Saluda River near Holcombe Drive and Lebby Street.

A call reporting a vehicle in the water came in just before 7:30 p.m.

Joshua Hawkins, a member of the Anderson Fire Technical Rescue team said they cleared the vehicle and are confident no one is inside. They also searched the banks and said they were unable to locate anyone.

Hawkins said it was a challenging dive due to strong currents in the river.

Officials are unsure if anyone is missing in the area at this time.
