Cool days and cold nights pattern set to begin

Posted: Updated:

Saturday will be cold early but look for sunny skies to warm thing up into the mid-50s across the Upstate and upper 40s in western North Carolina.

Winds will be gentle throughout the day, mainly out of the southwest between three and eight miles per hour in the Upstate. Look to see more of a north northwest flow between five and ten miles per hour in the mountains.

Saturday night will get cold, falling into the low 30s across the Upstate and mid-20s in western North Carolina. Sunshine will stick around on Sunday as highs reach the low to mid-50s.

Look for the pattern of cool days and cold nights to continue well into the work week.
