Sunny skies will dominate the second half of the weekend as temperatures climb into the mid-60s in the Upstate. Western North Carolina will likely peak in the low 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Winds will be gentle for most of the day, mainly coming out of the south and west between five and ten miles per hour. Gusts throughout the afternoon could reach as fast as 20 miles per hour at times.

Expect clouds to build a bit late in the day on Sunday as temperatures fall into the low to upper 40s. Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of a scattered showers early in the day.

Tuesday will see the return of wet weather as a cold front approaches the western Carolinas. Showers will likely arrive late in the day and last into Wednesday.

Wednesday could see scattered showers as well as a few isolated thunderstorms throughout the day. Behind the cold front, temperatures will fall a bit for the end of the work week.
