Highs on Sunday will peak in the mid-50s across the Upstate while western North Carolina peaks in the upper 40s.
Winds in the upstate will mainly come out of the north between five and ten miles per hour. Western North Carolina will see more of a north northwest flow between five and fifteen miles per hour.
Look for clouds to increase overnight into Monday. Cooler temperatures settle in Monday with mostly cloudy skies overhead. Snow will likely develop in western North Carolina as a cold front approaches. Look to see rain and snow possible across the Upstate late Monday afternoon into the evening.
Little accumulation is expected for the Upstate but western North Carolina may see a few inches as the snow will likely last into Tuesday for the mountain towns.
Temperatures will continue to decrease as the week continues with the coldest days likely being Wednesday of next week. Temperatures will slowly rebound closer to normal as we approach the end of the work week.
