EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A community is closer to removing an eyesore.

A real estate company is auctioning off everything inside the old Pecan Terrace Hotel,

The 4,600-square-foot home that was once a 1940s boarding house is packed with thousands of boxes, furniture and even lawn equipment.

The first auction is slated to be held 6 p.m. Thursday. Future auctions are scheduled April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5 and May 12. All of them starts at 6 p.m.

The auctions are a step towards selling the eyesore - once slated to become a bed and breakfast - or tearing it down after complaints from residents.

Items will come out one at a time before they're sorted for people to see.

Wham is heading up the auction at 207 W. 2nd Avenue in Easley. Click here for more information.
