GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

More than 100 children of wounded, disabled or fallen military service members are enjoying a week of fun camp activities at YMCA’s Camp Greenville.

Camp officials said YMCA Camp Greenville in northern Greenville County is one of 21 camps across the nation partnering with Camp Corral to provide a free, week-long summer camp for military children.

According to a news release, at camp “kids are free to be kids, away from the daily challenges they face in their military families. Kids participate in traditional outdoor activities such as archery, canoeing and swimming, and have the opportunity to meet other kids who share similar family situations.”
