GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The iconic Pokemon game, made for Gameboy, hit the market in 1995. Soon after, it was turned into trading cards, movies, comics, and this animated show. Now, 20 years later, Pokemon Go, has taken off like wild fire.  "I think a lot of it is the nostalgia, definitely so," said Heather Sauer-Hart.

Sauer-Hart is the store manager at Boardwalk in Greenville, where they sell the Pokemon trading cards. "They're worth a lot of money if you have the right ones," she said.

Sauer-Hart said the concept behind the new addition to the franchise, is basically Pokemon's catch phrase, 'Gotta Catch em'all'. "Essentially what you're doing is you're walking around... and you have a little avatar and you are catching Pokemon," said Sauer-Hart.

Sometimes you have to physically go outside to catch the Pokemon, "It's built for going outside and actually exploring the world around you, instead of staying inside all day," said Sauer-Hart.

The 20th anniversary Pokemon commercial that aired during the Super Bowl, is quite similar to the game.  The app displays images of a location nearby where you can capture a Pokemon.

But, with that concept could come some risks, like paying attention to where you're going.  The app even warns you with a message, "Remember to be alert at all times. Stay aware of your surroundings."

"I definitely express any kind of caution to anyone who's driving or even if you're just walking around to make sure you're looking at your surroundings, so you're not walking out in front of cars," said Sauer-Hart.

According to County 10, in Wyoming a teen came across a body in a river while hunting the Pokemon.  And police in Australia warned players not to come inside their station to capture the characters.

Sauer-Hart said although there are few concerns, it's been a hit locally and globally, "We have had a lot of people get more interested in the card game, which is really big for us and it's been great for the store."
