Sunday will continue with hot conditions as mostly sunny skies heat things up into the low 90s across the Upstate and mid-80s on western North Carolina.
Partly cloudy skies will build into the afternoon as a slight chance of isolated showers and storms linger into the evening. Expect any developing storms to be widely scattered and brief.
Winds throughout the day will be gentle, flowing out of the southwest between five and ten miles per hour across the Upstate. Mountain towns will see more of a northwest flow between five and ten miles per hour.
Sunday evening will fall to near 70 degrees in the Upstate while mountain towns fall into the mid-60s. Look for Monday to usher in low 90s and mid-80s throughout the day as afternoon storm chances continue.
