On the weekends, I love to: Run/walk the trails, hit the gym, so yes, I love my exercise, but on the flip side, I’m known to go on some serious Netflix binges.  I also like trying new restaurants around the area, and am always up for trying something new.

My favorite movie is: Twister, of course! But I’m also a sucker for comedy, so Step Brothers would have to be a close second.

My favorite kind of music is: Country, but I also devote some time to pop, oldies, and one of my all-time faves, Dave Matthews Band.

My favorite food is: A slow-cooked rack of ribs and brisket, so I’d say I’m in the right part of the country for that!

Hidden talents: I have perfect pitch, which means that if you press any key on the piano, I could tell you which one it is without looking.  A little odd yes, but I read that only 1 in 10,000 people has it so I guess it’s pretty unique.

Hobbies: Running marathons, golfing, and cheering on my 2 favorite sports teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and Nebraska Cornhuskers (Go Big Red!).

Pets: None now, but I hope to own a French bulldog or some sort of small terrier some day.

Most Memorable Story: With all the crazy Midwestern weather I experienced, there are many that come to mind, but the one that sticks out the most is a tornado outbreak in early October 2013 on homecoming Friday (an odd time for tornadoes in the Midwest) where an EF-4 tornado hit Wayne, Nebraska and destroyed a decent portion of the town.  We were on the air for approximately 4 hours covering it along with many other tornadoes that moved through our viewing area.  It was my first taste of severe weather coverage, and it made me respect the damage that these forces of nature are capable of causing.
