ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Buncombe County deputies said a road rage incident led to deadly crash on New Leicester Highway.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, dispatchers received two calls about a road rage incident and disturbance shortly after 9:40 p.m. Thursday evening.

Deputies responded to Top Dog Car Wash where they encountered a white 2009 Toyota, which fled the scene onto New Leicester Highway.

Deputies said the driver of the Toyota was 26-year-old Timothy John Barnett-Queen. Barnett-Queen died after striking another vehicle head-on shortly after fleeing from the car wash.  A woman and child received serious but not life threatening injuries in the crash.
